The Division of Services to Public and Non-public Schools is committed to providing a myriad of services for school districts in a cost effective and professional manner. All programs are carefully designed and implemented in an effort to ensure quality educational experiences and superior service. The following is a list of the programs and services provided by the Division of Services to Non-public and Public Schools.

Public School Services

• Child Study Team Services – Child Study Team— Provides Evaluation and Determination of Eligibility Services in compliance with NJAC Title 6A, Chapter 14 and PRISE (Parental Rights in Special Education).

• Home Instruction Program – Individualized home bedside instruction for eligible, full time public or charter school students.

• Nursing Services – Provides certified professional nursing services as needed.

Nonpublic School Services

Chapter 192 Services

• Compensatory Education — implement students’ Individual Student Improvement Plans in reading, writing and math.

• English-As-A-Second Language — Available to students identified as “limited English proficient.”

• Home Instruction Program — Individualized home bedside instruction for eligible, full time students.

Chapter 193 Services

• Supplementary Instruction — Helps classified students meet their goals and objectives identified in their Service Plans.

• Speech and Language Services — Provides articulation, language and fluency skills in compliance with NJAC Title 6A, Chapter 14 and PRISE (Parental Rights in Special Education).

• Child Study Team — Provides Evaluation and Determination of Eligibility Services in compliance with NJAC Title 6A, Chapter 14 and PRISE (Parental Rights in Special Education).

Title I — No Child Left Behind – Correlates lesson objectives to NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards

IDEA-B Services – Instructional aides for in-class support, counselling and staff development.

Nonpublic School Technology – Serves as a liaison between technology vendors and administrators regarding technology funding and demonstrations.

Initiative Program – Provides certified professional nursing services as needed.

Chapter 226 – School Nursing Services – Provides certified professional nursing services as needed.
